A heat treatment starts at 7am and finishes no later than 2pm. Here is what happens in those seven hours, and why each stage exists.

Arrival and preparation check07:00
We confirm the signed prep sheet has been completed, walk the rooms and remove anything heat-sensitive that has been missed.

Plant and probe positioning07:30
Heaters and air movers are positioned, and wireless probes are placed in the coldest positions — under beds, inside divans, at wardrobe bases and along skirting.

Controlled heat-up08:00
The room is brought up gradually while probes are watched. Furniture is opened, drawers pulled and mattresses angled so heat reaches inside.

The hold periodMid-treatment
Once the coldest probe reaches target, the hold begins. Bed bugs and their eggs die from sustained lethal temperature, not from a brief spike.

Cold-spot management
Air movers are repositioned throughout. Any position lagging behind is worked on directly until it catches up.

Controlled cool-down and inspection
The room is brought back down, then inspected. Harbourage areas are checked for kill and any residual work is completed.

Sign-offBy 14:00
The temperature log is saved to the job, photographs are attached, and the record is signed off with you before we leave.

Heat penetrates furniture, fabric, skirting and voids that a surface spray cannot reach
It kills all life stages including eggs, which most residual products do not reliably do
It resolves an infestation in a single day rather than a sequence of visits
There is no chemical residue left in a bedroom or a child's room

Complete the preparation sheet and sign it off before the day
Remove aerosols, pressurised containers, medication, candles and anything heat-sensitive
Arrange for people and pets to be out of the property for the working day
Leave clutter accessible rather than boxed and stacked — heat has to reach it
