Every visit produces a record. It is signed, time-stamped, and detailed enough to satisfy a landlord, an environmental health officer or an insurer.
What every record contains
- Property, date, arrival and departure times
- Species identified and the evidence it was identified from
- Areas inspected, including areas found clear
- Products used, quantities, and exact placements
- Temperature data where a heat treatment was carried out
- Photographs taken during the visit
- Preparation or access issues that affected the work
- Recommendations, proofing advice and the next scheduled action
- Technician name and customer sign-off
Who asks for these
Landlords and letting agents use them to demonstrate that a reported infestation was dealt with properly. Commercial premises use them for audits and for environmental health. Householders use them when a managing agent or insurer needs proof.
Because the record is written at the property and signed there, it holds up when it is later relied on.
